Wow ... what a journey!!!

We promised you some exciting changes and happenings this June 15th weekend...here's another one....our NEW DDTTRH LOGO!!!!!

When we asked NUNO (our graphic artist friend and supporter from Portugal) to make us a logo, we told him the following..."The new logo must embody our new mission of focusing less attention on the Rock Hall and more on Duran Duran. The logo must be forward looking and visionary, with the idea that our effort is trying to bring to light the Duran Duran of NOW and the amazing contributions that Duran Duran has made to music history, fashion, art and media culture. To me the logo must say that Duran Duran is hip and classy for today and must be inviting to people who have either never heard of the band or are curious in learning about what they've been doing lately."

Further, we told him it needs to look good on a t-shirt.

I think NUNO out-did himself...check this out...I am proud to present, Duran Duran to the Rock Hall's new official logo...

And here's what it looks like on a t-shirt...pretty cool, eh?

Post Hit DVD

Post Hit are an electropop duo from Lisbon. During the promotion in 2005 of their self-titled debut album, which made known songs like "Vanishing Boys..." and "Glamorama", they did a great concert in Óbidos, Portugal. Here are the DVD cover sleeve that I did at that time.

POST HIT is a portuguese band, formed in Lisbon in November 2002 and the singer Paulo Scavullo it's a great friend of mine. They are working on the next album titled HITMUSIC! and I came up with this design (fan work) from the promotional photo.

I would like to wish you ....

What's up?

Just realized that I didn't posted here for about a month and there were so many big things going on.

The most important was my design entry in the All You Need is Art contest.

It was a magic moment because I could, from my point of view, capture on the design the feel of All You Need Is Now - Duranies - Duran Duran.

Last friday, I got an email saying that I have been voted a top 10 finalist in the Duran Duran All You Need Is Art contest. Thank you so much for everyone who voted. Now, my artwork will be passed along to the band, who will select one grand prize winner. Let's hope they choose my design.

Talking about John, it was funny to see a wallpaper design as a picture for a Duran Duran/John Taylor News/interview. It was at Y98 Radio and you can see it here

Still in Duran Duran World, I had the previlege to be interviewed to "DDTTRH: Duran Duran to the Rock Hall". It was a special New Years Interview. You can read it here

Apart from Duran Duran I did all the artwork for the next shows at Lisbon and Oporto of "God Save The Queen" and I am also working on the next show of D-A-D and FM at Lisbon.

All of this I hope to show you with more details on my next posts.

Wishing (If I Had a Photograph Of You)

This is one of those moments that we are always looking for.
When I design, I try to show what I feel about some subject and in this case, doing the artwork of the Lisbon show of A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS, I believe that I really catch the meaning of the this huge band.
Mike Score (singer) was very happy with the poster that I did and he also signed it ;)

Before the show I was wishing that he take a photo with me ... so here it is!

God Save The Queen are Back!

God Save The Queen (http://www.dsr.com.ar/) the best tribute band in the world will play once more in Portugal.
