God Save The Queen 2012 - Portugal

In June 2012 I started working on the promo art for the November gigs in Portugal of God Save The Queen - Best tribute band of the world.
At that stage the band didn't sent me the final ideias for the concert image so had to create something that could bring our memories to 1986 sine the show is called "Remember Wembley '86". So here is my 1st promo image for all media (5 months before the show).

Great White + Brian Spence - Campo Pequeno - Lisboa 2010

The next big event of Remember Minds it's the concert of GREAT WHITE + BRIAN SPENCE next saturday (6 Nov) at Campo Pequeno in Lisbon. I did all the artwork of the show and since October that you can see at the entrance of Campo Pequeno the poster with my design(8,50x2,90m). Here are some photos and a video.

Wishing (If I Had a Photograph Of You)

This is one of those moments that we are always looking for.
When I design, I try to show what I feel about some subject and in this case, doing the artwork of the Lisbon show of A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS, I believe that I really catch the meaning of the this huge band.
Mike Score (singer) was very happy with the poster that I did and he also signed it ;)

Before the show I was wishing that he take a photo with me ... so here it is!

A celebration of Matthew Ashman

Last month I was asked to make a poster for a charity show in aid of diabetes (UK) honoring Matthew Ashman http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Ashman. He was originally in Adam and the Ants before making a name for himself in Bow Wow Wow and later Chiefs of Relief. He had a truly individual syle which combined a pure punk attitude with Duane Eddy sharp twanging spice and he influenced many other guitarists, not least John Frusciante from the Chili Peppers. He died on the 21st November 1995 from complications due to diabetes.
The gig will take place in London at the Scala on 21th of November and so far Adam Ant, Andy Taylor, Bow Wow Wow and Chiefs of Relief are all going to be involved.

The event is now completely sold out and I believe that you will find there some t-shirts with my poster design.

Ticketline October 2010

Ticketline Magazine of this month (http://www.ticketline.pt/Revista.aspx) have again a new add page that I've done. This time is 1/2 page and i had to re-work the Great White image design because the lead singer Jack Russel is recovering from major surgery after suffering a perforated bowel and the singer for the Lisbon show is Jani Lane (Ex-Warrant). Can you see the diference?

Blitz Again

BLITZ magazine of October (nr. 52) have a full page with my latest design. It's a promo for the next concerts of "A Flock Of Seagulls", "Great White + Brian Spence" and "Rumours Of Fleetwood Mac".

God Save The Queen are Back!

God Save The Queen (http://www.dsr.com.ar/) the best tribute band in the world will play once more in Portugal. The last couple of shows was in June at Lisbon and Oporto (see poster here http://studion45.blogspot.com/2010/02/god-save-queen-dios-salve-la-reina-best.html) and this time they will be in Grândola http://feiradeagosto.blogspot.com/ next 30th of August.
